Shopping List: Adagio Sherlock Teas

Miss Cara McGee, who runs the IHaveBeenSherlocked tumblr (see the link below, its an EPIC blog), not only creates b-e-a-UTIFUL Sherlock buttons and shirts, but now, using the website Adagio, has even designed tea blends after the personalities of each of the Sherlock main characters. Each bag runs for $10 (approximately 20 cents per tea bag), so definitely something fun to invest in! If you are a bit of a tea aficionado like myself, below I’ve listed the flavors and main ingredients of each tea. Collect them all! I would surely like to, DAMN MY LEG BANK ACCOUNT! Be sure to check out Cara’s RedBubble too for epic #BelieveInSherlock shirts and stickers!

  • Sherlock: All at once exotic and mysterious and perhaps a little bit insane, with a lingering hint of smoke. (Lapsang Souchong, Assam Melody, Oriental Spice)
  • Watson: Queen and Country traditionalist, but still recounting his days in Afghanistan drinking green tea, John Watson prefers his tea with a bit of cream, no sugar, and just a little warm from a touch of cinnamon. (Irish Breakfast, Cinnamon, Earl Grey Green)
  • MoriarteaSpicy Chai backed by more ginger. Guaranteed to burn the heart out of you. (Green Chai, Ginger)
  • Mycroft: No brother, I have not been eating more cake. I’ve been drinking it. (Chocolate, Rooibos Vanilla Chai, Cream)
  • Lestrade: Smoky traces of gunpowder, aged leather, mellowed with a trace of hazelnut. A distinguished, if tired, blend. (Gunpowder, Pu Erh Dante, Hazelnut)
  • Molly: Naturally sweet, mild, and most importantly, calming and soothing (Chamomile, Dewy Cherry, Snowbud)
  • Donovan: Hard working and long suffering, this blend comes off a little strong at first, then mellows out with the taste of vanilla cookies and laced with almonds. Careful, could be arsenic*. (*it’s not) (Rooibos Vanilla, Mambo, Almond)
  • Anderson: Bitter. So bitter. Some seem to be attracted to it though, for whatever reason. Also just a bit fruity. Best served cold. (Grapefruit, Ceylon Sonata, Blood Orange)
  • The WomanIncredibly seductive to any man (or woman): the scent of fresh cookies, hints of cherry, and just a whiff of smoke. (Vanilla Oolong, Dewy Cherry, Lapsang Souchong)
  • The Colonel: Wild, a bit exotic, and extremely dangerous. (Tiger Eye, Thai Chai, Assam Melody)

    Shopping List: TARDIS Tote

It’s bigger on the inside.  Once again, Etsy has revealed to me another gorgeous creation: a knit TARDIS tote! The creator, Alison from Brentwood, New Jersey, has created a regular and deluxe edition, $50 and $75 respectively.  This bag is made of 100% cotton, easily washable, and a MUST HAVE for every Whovian!

She also makes Nyan Cat scarves…might wanna check that one out too…

    Shopping List: Leather TARDIS Purse

Once again,  I found another BRILLIANT design on Etsy (if you don’t know what Etsy is, its basically a website where all the things are handmade, and for the most part, “fan-made”, pretty cool!)  I was perusing the “Doctor Who” tag, and I stumbled upon this: a highly detailed, leather TARDIS purse.  The artist, Mochi Hernandez from Madrid, doesn’t miss a single detail, TOTALLY making this worth it’s price of $250.00.  This is TOTALLY going on my birthday/when-I-get-a-boyfriend-he-should-buy-my-this list.

Shopping List: A Tanya Valerio Charm Bracelet

The maker, Tanya Valerio A.K.A SingerSalvage (website below), is from Glasgow and doesn’t just make Sherlock jewelry, but also Supernatural!  She has army-style dog tags for the Winchester brothers, but I ADORE this Sherlock charm bracelet! The charms include…

    • The bottle of poison
    • John Watson’s laptop
    • “Greg” Lestrade’s police badge
    • A chess piece
    • A Union Jack heart
    • A mobile
    • The London Eye
    • Sherlock Holme’s violin
    • A cab

Sadly, for $99.00, I don’t believe I’ll be able to purchase it soon.  Any kind patrons? :)

Shopping List: I Don’t Have “Friends” Shirt

So RedBubble has turned out to become one of the best resources for fan-ware, especially for the Tumblr “holy trinity” : Supernatural, Doctor Who, and, of course, Sherlock.  Well, I found this little beauty, of course taken from the newest episode, where the amazing Cumberbatch magically creates an amazing amount of chins saying the word “friends.” Needless to say, I think I’m going to part with the $24.54 to buy this beauty soon enough.  The design is made by PigBee, who also has an account here on Tumblr with a lot of his great sketches and doodles! All his information and sites can be found below.

Shopping List: The Artwork of Alice X. Zhang

So basically, I was just perusing the interwebz, looking for Sherlock-related memorabilia when I stumbled upon these beautiful works by Alice X. Zhang.  She received a major in Graphic Design from Rhode Island School of Design.  Most of her prints can be purchased, not only on canvas, but iPhone cases (what I was interested in), iPhone skins, and even mac skins!  She doesn’t just have Sherlock works, but also Disney, Doctor Who, and even Studio Ghibli designs!

Personally, I would GIVE MY LEFT ARM for the one of John as an iPhone case, but sadly, that one’s only available on paper.  Second choice would be the first one pictured, entitled “Virtuoso” for $35.00.
